Our unique partnership with ALBA, a Salinas-based non-profit, allows us to feature its "ALBA ORGANICS" brand produce and support its bilingual organic farming training program for limited-resource and aspiring farmers. About 30 farmer trainees and farmer graduates of the ALBA program lease farmland on portions of ALBA's acreage near Salinas and Watsonville to grow the fruits and vegetables sold under the ALBA ORGANICS label.

 

Monta Vista Market's owner, Peter Yessne, is a 35-year resident of Cupertino and has resided for the last 25 years in the Monta Vista neighborhood, where he and his wife Gail presides over their own organic vegetable garden.

 

Two percent of all sales at Monta Vista Market are rebated to ALBA to help support its farmer training programs.
